The first home game in Las Vegas Raiders’ history last season was on Monday Night Football.
The first game with fans in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will also be aired on ESPN’s Monday Night Football. The NFL teased the release of the entire 17-game NFL regular season schedule (it will be announced at 5 p.m. PT), by revealing the entire Week 1 slate early on Wednesday morning.
The Raiders close out opening weekend by hosting the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, Sept. 13. Kickoff is set for 5:15 p.m. PT. and the game will also be shown on ABC.
The plan is for a full house at Allegiant Stadium (the Raiders beat the New Orleans Saints in their first game there in Week 2 in 2020) for all games this season although details are still being worked out. Of course, the Raiders spent their first season in Las Vegas playing in an empty home stadium because of the coronavirus pandemic.
This is a big-time matchup to open the fan era in Las Vegas. The Ravens went 11-5 and made the AFC playoffs as a wild card in 2020. Facing Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson in Week 1 will be a stiff task for the new-look Raiders’ defense.
We will post more leaked schedule reports from credible sources in this post leading up to the official announcement this evening.
