The 2022 NFL Draft is Heading to Las Vegas

The 2020 NFL Draft was virtual and very online. Joe Burrow stood for the national anthem in his living room. Bill Belichick’s dog made an appearance. Bill O’Brien screamed and hollered when they were stuck selecting Jonathan Greenard. This last draft was a little more of the usual. It took place in Cleveland, it took place outside, and there were masks still sporadically seen, and ESPN analysts sat on chairs away from one another, but it was the draft was know it; just slightly different.

This is all a welcome sign for the 2021 NFL season. The stadiums should be open to near capacity once the season kicks off. The ghost towns will be revitalized. The pumped in crowd music will disappear. Simulation has come to an end.

The NFL has already scheduled the 2022 NFL Draft. It will take place in Las Vegas from April 28th to April 30th.

This is a do over from 2020, when the NFL was supposed to utilize Vegas as the venue before taking the act online. There’s going to be boats. There’s going to be fountains. There’s going to be bright lights. And, most importantly, there’s going to be the Texans making their first first round selection in two years.
