Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove Top247 2022 defensive tackle Caden Curry has dropped his Top12.
He tells 247Sports he’s narrowed his focus to Ohio State, Alabama, Arizona State, Clemson, Indiana, Notre Dame, Oregon, Florida State, Michigan, USC and Tennessee.
“Honestly I’ve had it for awhile and been thinking about it for awhile and I’ve been talking to these schools the most and see myself playing at one of these schools,” Curry said.
As a junior Curry registered 61 tackles including 21.5 stops for loss and eight sacks in helping his team win a state championship. He is the nation’s No. 8 defensive tackle and No. 84 prospect overall per the 247Sports Composite and has been selected to play in the All-American Bowl.
He hasn’t scheduled any officials yet because of his baseball schedule.
“Yes I’m trying to get to Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and others that I can to as soon as possible,” Curry said.
“We’ve talked to a couple schools about coming on unofficial, Alabama, Tennessee, almost all of them on the list,” his father Chris said. “Michigan they want us to come up and do an unofficial. We still haven’t figured out his baseball schedule. Ohio State was one as well. The Clemson elite retreat.”
The only school Curry has been to so far is Indiana.
Curry had 100 tackles with 26.5 coming for loss as a sophomore where he emerged as a national recruit.
“I’d say I’ve talked the most to Ohio State, Alabama and Clemson and IU I talk to them once a week,” Curry said. He doesn’t anticipate a decision until his senior season.
