Basketball took Natasha Mack all over the state of Texas before she headed north to finish out her college career at Oklahoma State. The OSU star will head north once again to begin her professional career.

With the 16th pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft, the Chicago Sky select Natasha Mack! After being named WBCA Defensive Player of the Year, Mack was selected at the top of the 2nd round of the WNBA Draft.

Chicago spent its first round pick on Shyla Heal, a guard out of Australia. Mack will join Heal and stars Candace Parker and Courtney Vandersloot on a Sky team that finished 12-10 last season. Chicago finished 20-14, good enough for fifth place in the WNBA, in 2019.

Mack was the leader of an OSU squad that finished 19-9 and won a game in the NCAA tournament. The defensive heartbeat of the Cowgirls, Mack blocked 112 shots in her senior season and averaged more than nine rebounds a night. She also got it done on the offensive end, averaging 19.8 points per night. The 6-foot-4 forward will have a great mentor in Chicago in Candace Parker.

Chicago has a talented and experienced roster but Mack should be able to come in and contribute on the defensive end right away as a rookie.

The WNBA just released new Nike jerseys for every team to commemorate the league’s 25th season last week. There are currently options to pre-order jerseys for players currently on the roster, and Mack’s jersey should (hopefully) be on the site to pre-order soon for interested OSU and Chicago Sky fans.

Chicago, it’s officially Natasha Mack time. Welcome to the Mack Show. We have sure enjoyed our front-row seats to the Mack Show the last two years in Stillwater. It’s time to take the Mack Show nationwide.
