Just Randy Moss and Tommy Kramer telling stories around the fire

I don’t know about you, but there are few things that are more entertaining than listening to football stories from the “old days,” particularly when they’re told by legendary members of the Minnesota Vikings. Over the weekend, we got a very nice example of that courtesy of one of the greatest ever to wear purple.

Randy Moss was in town over the weekend to do an autograph signing, and he went and hung out with former Vikings’ quarterback Tommy Kramer. While they were there, Moss regaled those in attendance with the story of the infamous “Moss Moon” at Lambeau Field in the 2004 NFC Playoffs. One of Kramer’s friends captured the whole thing.

For those of you that are having issues with the embed, you can see the video here.

Moss talks about how the idea came about, including the level of garbage he took from the Wisconsin marching band during the first game between the two teams at Lambeau that season. Moss sat that game out with an injury, and the band members thought that was pretty hilarious.

The Vikings lost both regular season games to Green Bay that season on last-second field goals, but blew the Packers’ doors off in the Wild Card round, gaining a measure of revenge.

Here’s hoping that you enjoy the video that came out of this get-together. If Moss and Kramer and the gang wanted to do this a little more frequently, I don’t think anyone would object.
