NY Jets Helmet Stickers: Week 11

The Jets had the opportunity to avenge an embarrassing loss against the Dolphins this year in which the Jets lost by 24 points and were completely shut out. But come on, the Jets were down 2 starting receivers, the offensive line was in shambles, and Joe Flacco was forced to lead the offense on the road!

Thankfully, the Jets had all of their starting receivers back and the offensive line was really gelling in front of a healthy Sam Darnold playing at home. So naturally the Jets only lost by 17 points and put a whopping 3 on the board. What an improvement! Let’s just give out some stickers:

Bronze Star: Folo Fatukasi (4 tackles, 1 sack, 1.5 TFL)

Folo has been one of those guys on the fringe of getting a sticker for a while and put together another solid performance. The Jets were pretty dominant on defense despite an offense that couldn’t do much of anything to help them, and Folo was a part of some big plays in the backfield.

Silver Star: Neville Hewitt (6 tackles, 1 sack, 2 TFL, 1 FR)

Hewitt has quietly been having a very good season. His stats in the game are impressive, but he also had a couple of pressures and 2 QB hits in the game, making impact plays all over the field. Hewitt isn’t often considered part of the Jets long-term plans, but he’s made a pretty good case for himself this year.

Gold Star: Quinnen Williams (7 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2 TFL, 1 FF, 2 PD)

I said the defense was dominant in this game and the main reason was that Williams was dominant. Williams was second on the team in tackles despite being an interior defensive lineman. He led the team in sacks. He led the team in QB hits. He was tied for the lead in both TFLs and passes defended. Williams basically racked up all the stats that would normally be attributable to other positions, and he did it all at once. This was a phenomenal performance and when taken with some of his other good to great games this year, there’s a lot to be optimistic about when it comes to Q in the coming years.

So there you have it, eleven weeks in and the table stands:

Quinnen Williams 14 points (4 gold, 1 silver)

Jamison Crowder 8 points (2 gold, 1 silver)

Mekhi Becton 6 points (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze)

Marcus Maye 6 points (2 gold)

No One 6 points (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze)

Neville Hewitt 5 points (2 silver, 1 bronze)

John Franklin-Myers 4 points (2 silver)

Breshad Perriman 3 points (1 gold)

Sam Ficken 3 points (1 silver, 1 bronze)

Brian Poole 2 points (1 silver)

Joe Flacco 2 points (1 silver)

Denzel Mims 1 point (1 bronze)

Avery Williamson 1 point (1 bronze)

Bless Austin 1 point (1 bronze)

Frank Gore 1 point (1 bronze)

Branden Mann 1 point (1 bronze)

Ashytn Davis 1 point (1 bronze)

Folo Fatukasi 1 point (1 bronze)
