Ex-Patriot Tom Brady named NFC Offensive Player of October

Even though Tom Brady left the New England Patriots earlier this year for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he is still going strong. So strong, in fact, that he was now named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Month for October — making him the first offensive player in Buccaneers franchise history to take home the prestigious award.

Brady winning it does not come as a surprise. The 43-year-old led his team to a 3-1 record this month while completing 105 of 159 pass attempts (66.0%) for 1,157 yards and 12 touchdowns as well as just one interception. After a comparatively slow start to his Buccaneers tenure, he has played on as high a level as any quarterback in football recently.

Being honored as his conference’s Player of the Month is nothing new for Brady, though. During his time with the Patriots, he has won the award on the AFC side on 10 separate occasions, most recently in November of his 2017 MVP season.
