Texans-Ravens Broadcast Information

You’d think the NFL would want to spread out its marquee contests that feature star quarterbacks throughout the regular season, but you’d be wrong. Last week’s season opener starring Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson made sense; got to hit the ground running. But turning around and having Watson face Lamar Jackson immediately after that? With Jackson and Mahomes squaring off the following week? Seems like poor planning to me, especially when you could have staggered those games in prime time at various points in October, November, or December.

Alas, the league has yet to put me in charge of scheduling, so, after Sunday Night Football next week, we’ll simply have to deal with a dearth of Mahomes-Watson, Mahomes-Jackson, and Watson-Jackson tilts until the NFL Playoffs begin in January. With that, here’s how to catch a rare Texans’ late afternoon game this week:

Kickoff Time: 3:25 p.m. CDT on Sunday, September 20th.

TV Broadcast: CBS.

Radio Broadcast: Sports Radio 610 (AM), 100.3 (FM), and SXM 227. NFL Game Pass also provides an audio streaming service.

Online Streaming: Viewers in the U.S. can use the NFL Mobile app if they have a Verizon subscription. Everyone else can use the NFL Game Pass subscription service to watch the game.

Opponent Blog: Baltimore Beatdown.

Twitter: @battleredblog.

Facebook: Sure, you like us. But do you really, really like us?

NFL Network Replay: To be determined.

In terms of what we’ll be doing for the game itself, expect “Countdown To Kickoff” to post at 8 a.m. CDT on Sunday, with the first open thread for the game posting promptly at 11:45 a.m. CDT on Sunday. We’ll add live open threads as necessary during the game, and then we’ll have a post-game reaction thread as soon as the game’s over.
