NFL Dawgs Update

Even in mostly empty stadiums, the NFL got underway over the weekend, and no shortage of NFL Dawgs were involved.

In the Patriots 21-11 win over Miami, David Andrews and Isaiah Wynn helped roll up 257 yards of offense as Sony Michel rushed for a touchdown.

On the other sideline was yet an additional UGA lineman as Solomon Kindley made his NFL debut.

The Colts fell to Jacksonville 27-20, but Rodrigo Blankenship connected on field goals of 38 and 25 yards. For Jacksonville, Abry Jones had a tackle and Chris Conley had a six-yard catch. Justin Houston also had two tackles and a sack for Indianapolis.

The Bears squeaked out a 27-23 win against Detroit as Roquan Smith had seven tackles and Javon Wims had a one-yard touchdown catch while John Jenkins had two tackles.

Matthew Stafford passed for 297 yards and a touchdown while D’Andre Smith debuted by scoring his first touchdown.

Buffalo beat the Jets 27-17 helped by Isaiah McKenzie’s three catches for 17 yards.

The Chiefs win over Houston was marked by he contributions of Mecole Hardman, who had a 20-yard kick return and six-yard catch. .

Nick Chubb rushed for 60 yards in Cleveland’s 38-6 loss to Baltimore.

In Atlanta, Todd Gurley – yes, a UGA player on the Falcons – rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown.

The Bengals fell 16-13 to the Chargers despite AJ Green’s 51 receiving yards.

Lamont Gaillard saw action for Arizona in its win over the 49ers, whose special teams snaps included Charlie Woerner.

Playing with the Rams, Leonard Floyd had four tackles and a sack. The Giants fell 26-16 to the Steelers as Lorenzo Carter had seven tackles and Andrew Thomas played 68 snaps.

The Titans topped Denver with Ben Jones in for all 81 snaps.
