Updates on former Tigers, Missouri high school sports, and the SEC schedule

Wednesday’s NBA bubble action had some good performances from former Tigers. First, it was Jordan Clarkson contributing 14 points and four rebounds in Utah’s 124-115 win over Memphis. And after Michael Porter Jr.’s career-high 37 point performance on Monday, he followed that up with another big game on Wednesday. In a 132-126 win over the Spurs, Porter Jr. had another double-double, leading the Nuggets with 30 points and 15 rebounds.

Here are MPJ’s first-half highlights:

Oh yeah….he finally looks healthy now.

Here are some more impressive stats from MPJ, acording to ESPN Stats and Info.

Moving on the the high school sports landscape, the Missouri State High School Athletics Association announced on Wednesday that schools in Missouri that are not having in-person classes for the 2020-2021 school year can still participate in their activities. This seems to be positive news for the Mizzou football in-state commitments in hopes of playing their senior seasons.

And stay tuned for the SEC football schedule to be released perhaps at the end of this week.

Whenever Mizzou’s 10-game SEC schedule is announced, we’ll of course have it covered here at Rock M Nation.

  • The College Football Playoff has announced their new dates for this season
  • According to Will Muschamp, the SEC will be testing players three days a week.
  • The Big Ten announced their season’s schedule, beginning on September 5th……maybe.
  • The recruiting dead period is expected to extend to September 30th, according to Bryan Fischer
  • The SEC was the first to do this, but a scholarship commitment must be honored if a student-athlete opts out this season. An obvious, but good decision by the NCAA.
  • We’ll end the links on this. Looking good, COMO.
