We’re 72 days away from Vanderbilt football’s scheduled season opener against Mercer. #72 for the Commodores is offensive lineman Dan Dawkins. The 6’3”, 305-pound redshirt sophomore from Staten Island came in as one of the top center prospects in the country but has yet to earn a start in two years on campus, though he did play in all 12 games in 2019.

Here’s a site that predicts Vanderbilt will go 2-10 this season. Question for the commentariat: would you prefer football to be played and Vanderbilt to go 2-10, or football to not be played?
A bit more of a response from Susan Wente and Candice Storey Lee to the recent sexual assault allegations involving the football team. That’s better than the initial response, though we’re still not hearing much of an explanation about what actually happened in 2018.
