5 Netflix series to watch after you’ve binged Space Force

Loved watching Space Force? Watch these five shows on Netflix first.

Steve Carell made his return to television once again in Space Force, taking Netflix original series to new heights. We certainly are blurring the lines between fiction and reality with this show stemming from the real creation of Space Force in the U.S. military. But nonetheless, Carell and co-creator Greg Daniels were able to pull off a series about a military branch that barely existed. And you have to give them kudos for that.

The series, of course, revolves around Carell as General Mark Naird who goes from being at the top of the Air Force to becoming the leader of Space Force. Jump to some time later, and Naird is gearing up to put “American boots back on the moon.” Of course, none of that is easy when you’re piloting a new military branch. And when you’ve got the competency of Naird, that just complicates things even more.

With Steve Carell brought on board, Netflix viewers were instantly attracted to the idea of seeing this comedic genius back at it again. But if you’re already craving something Steve Carell or Space Force adjacent, there are a couple of picks out there for you. So, if you’re in the mood for a good comedy, there’s something out there for everybody when it comes to these picks.

5. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Length: 4 seasons + 1 interactive special

Short sell: If you’re looking for a show with someone who makes whacky decisions and has a naive sense of judgment just like Mark Naird, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is for you. Kimmy is an adult woman who grew up in a bunker, so she never fully matured. But as she breaks free from the bunker to live in New York City, the adventures she goes on and her naivety makes for one hilarious show.

Netflix describes:

Created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, the three-time Emmy-nominated Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt follows Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) as she continues to adjust to the 21st century and learn more about who she really is. Joining Kimmy on her journey are her best friend and roommate, Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess); her former-employer-turned-friend Jacqueline White (Jane Krakowski); and landlord Lillian Kaushtupper (Carol Kane).
