Your Houston Texans head to Arlington to face the cross-state rival Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium tomorrow night. This is the third preseason game, which used to be a dress rehearsal of sorts for the regular season, in that starters could generally be counted on to play at least a half and sometimes as much as three quarters of the game. That’s unlikely to happen tomorrow night, according to Bill O’Brien:

“I think it will be similar to how we used them in the Detroit game – not much,” Texans coach Bill O’Brien said. “Some of that is a play count, so it depends on if first team goes out there, is it a three-and-out? Is it a long drive? It’s not an exact science, it’s just kind of a general idea of how much we want them to play and then we’ll go from there.”

Nevertheless, it’s Texans football, and there are jobs to be won. Here’s how to watch the third preseason game; make sure to note the 6 p.m. kickoff instead of the usual 7 p.m. start, as well as the availability of the live broadcast on NFL Network.

Kickoff Time: 6:00 p.m CDT on Saturday, August 24th.

TV Broadcast: ABC (Channel 13 for the Houston viewing area) and NFL Network.

Radio Broadcast: Sports Radio 610 (AM), 100.3 (FM), and XM 812. NFL Game Pass also provides an audio streaming service.

Online Streaming: Viewers in the U.S. can use the NFL Mobile app if they have a Verizon subscription. Anyone else can use the NFL Game Pass subscription service to watch the game.

NFL Network Replay: Sunday, August 25th at 3 p.m. CDT; Tuesday, August 27th at 7 p.m. CDT; Thursday, August 29th at 2 p.m. CDT.

In terms of what we’ll be doing on game day itself, expect “Countdown To Kickoff” to post at 2 p.m. CDT tomorrow, with the first open thread for the game posting at 5:45 p.m. CDT. We’ll add live open threads as necessary, and then we’ll have a post-game reaction thread as soon as the game’s over.
