The Pittsburgh Steelers have a knack for drafting good wide receivers. Antonio Brown, Mike Wallace, JuJu Smith-Schuster and many others have been the reason why so many people call Pittsburgh a wide receiver factory.

Who is the next up in line? Could it possibly be James Washington?

Drafted in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma State, Washington has the look of a player who is ready to make the huge jump from Year 1 to Year 2. Throughout the 2019 NFL Preseason, Washington has been a man possessed.

Granted, it is the preseason, but Washington has showed a tremendous amount of potential for the Steelers’ offense looking for an answer to the question of who will fill the vacant spot left by Brown, who is now a member of the Raiders.

Potential is one thing, versatility is another. NFL Network’s analyst Brian Baldinger dove into the tape of the Steelers vs. Chiefs Week 2 Preseason game, but especially the play of Washington. He dives into how the Steelers utilize Washington, and how his skill set seems to be a perfect fit for what the Steelers want to do offensively in 2019.

Check out the breakdown in the video below, and ask yourself if you agree, or disagree, with Baldinger’s analysis. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
