For the first time since June of 2007, the Toronto Blue Jays will travel to Dodger Stadium. Toronto enters the series with one of the worst records in all of baseball at 52-75. It’s been a rough season, but with some of baseball’s youngest promising stars, a bright future is ahead of them.

Tuesday: Clayton Kershaw (12-2, 2.63 ERA) vs. Sean Reid-Foley (2-3, 3.00 ERA)

First pitch: 7:10 p.m. PT // SportsNet LA

Clayton Kershaw is coming off one of the best starts of his season. Last week in Miami, Kershaw threw seven scoreless innings, striking out 10 and walking zero. He began the game with seven consecutive strikeouts, the most in Dodgers history to begin a game. It’s been another dominant year for Kershaw, who has one of the lowest ERA’s in all of baseball.

Over his last seven starts, Kershaw has a 1.40 ERA while holding opponents to a .167 average. Over his last 45 innings he’s struck out 59 batters and walking only 13.

This will be the seventh start on the season for Foley, who plays more of an “opener” type of role. He doesn’t go one or two innings, but he isn’t used for more than 5 13 innings this year in a game. He’s coming off an outing in which he allowed three runs in 3 13 innings to the Rangers.

Wednesday: Walker Buehler (10-3, 3.31 ERA) vs. TBD

First pitch: 7:10 p.m. PT // SportsNet LA

Home sweet home for Walker Buehler, who has been one of the best starting pitchers at home this season. In 11 starts at Dodger Stadium this season, Buehler has gone 5-0 with a 2.33 ERA. His WHIP is only 0.82, and has a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 13.5 to 1.

He’ll be coming off one of his worst outings of the season. Last week in Miami, he lasted only four innings, allowing five runs and walking three batters.

The Blue Jays have yet to announce a starter.

Thursday: Kenta Maeda (8-8, 4.18 ERA) vs. TBD

After struggling early in Atlanta, Maeda finished strong during his last start. He finished the game with nine strikeouts, the second most he’s had this season. He’s two starts removed from arguably his best outing of the year, where he threw seven scoreless innings with no walks against Arizona.

Much like Buehler, Maeda has been much better at Dodger Stadium this season. In 11 starts, he’s gone 6-3 with a 2.84 ERA and 0.85 WHIP. His strikeout-to-walk ratio is nearly twice as good at home as well.
