Devin Booker has laid back this offseason when the opportunity was there to up his star power with Team USA as the star player. However, Booker took the conservative approach like many other NBA stars who bowed out of the event to preserve themselves for the upcoming season. And from Booker’s point of view, it shouldn’t be a surprise as he battled multiple nagging injuries over the past two years.

In the meantime, Phoenix’s $158 million man is working on adding tricks to his bag going against others in summer runs out in Los Angeles. From the footage that has been released over the past few weeks, Booker definitely looks more athletic while also doing some crazy moves not seen from him before.

“You gotta chill out Book,” someone said after Booker did a nasty spin-and-score on Bucks wing Tony Snell.

“Just working, bro,” Booker replied. “I ain’t been to the playoffs yet.”

The motivation is there to finally break through on the big stage during his fifth season. Booker certainly looks ready to take another leap forward in 2019-20.

Booker’s latest highlights lit a fire on NBA Twitter being reposted on all nationally syndicated outlets such as Bleacher Report and ESPN. The 6’6” combo guard was torching Ben Simmons and Snell like nothing.

Reminder, Booker is still only 22-years-old for another two months.

Last season, Booker averaged 26.6 points and 6.8 assists per game on a 58.4 true shooting percentage. The Suns’ star posted this numbers while having an inconsistent year shooting from behind the arc at 32.6 percent. Imagine the possibilities for Booker once he’s firing on all cylinders.

The only non-bigs in NBA history age 23 or under to average at least 25 points on a 60 true shooting percentage are Adrian Dantley, Kevin Durant, and James Harden. That feat seems very realistic for Phoenix’s face of the franchise to accomplish with the most talent surrounding him now.

Who’s ready for Year 5 Booker? Based off the latest clips we’ve watched, Booker is looking more unguardable than ever.
