Slaven Bilic set to be named West Brom boss after agreeing three-year deal with Championship club

  • The Championship club conducted an exhaustive process for a new manager
  • The 50-year-old last worked in England at West Ham between 2015 and 2017
  • Former Wolfsburg manager Bruno Labbadia was also interviewed for the role 

Slaven Bilic is set to return to management at West Bromwich Albion.

The former West Ham and Croatia manager boss, 50, has agreed a three-year deal.  

The Championship club conducted an exhaustive process for a new manager and held two rounds of talks with Bilic.

The Hawthorns hierarchy considered Chris Hughton but it is believed he may want a break after leaving Brighton. 

Former Wolfsburg manager Bruno Labbadia was also interviewed following the decision not to appoint stand-in boss Jimmy Shan on a permanent basis.

Bilic last worked in England at West Ham between 2015 and 2017, before leaving Saudi side Al-Ittihad in February.

He has been targeted as the man Albion want to lead the Championship charge next season
