New Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte has remained coy over moves for Manchester United duo Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

Conte – who was appointed Inter manager on Friday morning – has already had to fend off questions regarding transfers this summer, in particular moves for Lukaku and Sanchez. 

The two Premier League stars are reportedly on the radar of the Serie A outfit but former Chelsea boss Conte was reluctant to be drawn on his recruitment plans following his unveiling.

When questioned about the Red Devils duo, the 49-year-old told the BBC World Service: ‘I think now it’s very difficult to talk about this.

‘For sure, we have a plan to try to improve the team.

‘But it will be very important for the players, it will be very important to have a great will and great ambition, me, the players and the club, to try to reduce this gap.’
