New York Knicks big man Andrea Bargnani suffered a torn ligament in his shooting elbow after a failed dunk attempt Wednesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. Bargnani will be out indefinitely due to the injury, per Rotoworld.
The 7-foot sharpshooter has played every game since his arrival to the Knicks and performed efficiently, averaging 13.3 points along with 5.3 rebounds per game.
The Knicks have lost five consecutive games with Bargnani in the lineup, now leaving the frontcourt scoring duties on the shoulders of Tyson Chandlor, Jeremy Taylor and Cole Aldrich. Words have yet to be released from head coach Mike Woodson in regards to the rotation of the Knicks lineup.
An MRI to A.Bargnani’s l. elbow revealed a torn ligament.The injury occurred last night vs 76ers at 2:40 in 3rd qtr. He is out indefinitely.
